I knowww, it's mesmerizing! That double-decker, deep-dish horse collar grill and all-around "Queen From Outer Space"-age styling is more than we mere Earthlings are hard-wired to comprehend.

We're lovin' the trio of beauty queen wannabees mistaking the back seat as a throne for three. Sit gently, please, those convertible top bows are brittle and breakable!

In 1957, the Ford Motor Company introduced their all-new and very ballyhooed Edsel, not as a new model, but as a whole new marquee, an entirely new line of cars...

According to the legend, an automotive journalist declared, "It looks like an Oldsmobile sucking a lemon." The public must've thought so too, because after just three years of production, Ford discontinued the Edsel in 1960.

But now that nearly six decades has gone by since the car with the legendary horse collar grille debuted, we see it a bit differently.

We might as well just get it out in the open! Every surviving Edsel is an American classic and national treasure!

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood when one of these mid-century modern marvels motors by.
